Alan K. and Wan R. report that, after some challenges amid the pandemic, the E-Sports Club is back on track! This year's team includes Asa D. '25, Emerson T. '23, Joey M. R. '24, Krishna L. '23, Rose D. '25, and Neptune V. '23. Competing in the East Coast League, the team has gone undefeated in the pre-season.

In late January, Make-A-Wish Club hosted their winter bake sale to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation (Mid-Atlantic), which helps fulfill the wishes of children and teens with critical illnesses. Next up, the club raised funds through candy grams for Valentine's Day – always a delectable approach.

In early February, the Oxford Comma Club hosted their 2nd annual paperback book drive in partnership with DC Books to Prisons, which provides provides free books to individuals, as well as supporting and developing libraries in prisons.

Bob K. reports that the Science Club has been investigating oscillating chemical reactions, where a mixture will repeat a sequence of color changes. In this video, they demonstrate the Belousov–Zhabotinsky reaction, where the indicator colors appear to flip from yellow to blue as the mixture moves toward equilibrium:
