Collaborative + Personalized College Planning
Between them, our Dean and Associate Dean of College Counseling have more than 35 years experience in the field and extensive networks. Each counselor works with only 25-30 students per grade (one of the lowest ratios around) and can provide individualized support for every step in the process. Burke also provides direct access to admissions officers on campus, including 82 colleges and universities hosted in Fall 2024.
The College Counseling team hosts information sessions with 9th and 10th grade families and grade-level meetings with students, as well as schoolwide sessions on planning financially for college. Formal meetings with College Counseling begin in 11th grade. The College Counseling Office hosts a "Kick-Off" program in June and College Application Workshop in August for rising seniors – providing a jump-start on essay-writing, organizing, and planning.

Burke graduates a class of 55-60 students – representing myriad pursuits, passions, and future plans. As a result, the matriculation list can look substantially different from one year to another!
