Portrait of a Graduate

Window on the World

A biannual publication of our Communications and Development offices, 1968 Magazine features stories from alumni, students, faculty, and staff and includes Burke's Annual Report each fall.
Entitled "BOLD: Our Campus, Our Canvas," the fall issue highlights the artists and artworks that give Burke its distinct spirit. The feature article, "Window on the World," follows the journey of Hannah Bernhardt '14, founder of Capitol Hill Stained Glass and one of the few local artisans who can restore leaded glass in historic DC buildings. Hannah most recently worked with the Craftsman Group to restore the stained glass in the Folger Shakespeare Library's Founders' Room:
