Congratulations to Landon L. W. '29 on earning his second-degree black belt in taekwondo this month. Landon has been practicing for almost eight years at Yong Studios, where he especially likes board breaking and assisting young students. He also enjoys playing soccer and basketball at Burke. Cheers to Landon!
Looking to inspire an aspiring chef? Check out A World of Flavor: A Celebration of Food and Recipes from Around the Globe (Phaidon Press, 2024). Contributors include our own World Languages faculty and 10th Grade Dean Mónica (Profe). She researched and wrote sections on Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Spain, Italy, and Germany, highlighting specific ingredients, dishes, and customs, plus the sections on corn and beans.
