LaShada Ham-Campbell

Joined the board in 2024. La Shada Ham-Campbell is a fourth generation Washingtonian. She is a proud product of DC Public Schools and Howard University. At HU she earned her bachelor and master degree in Educational Psychology. She has a second master's degree in school administration from Trinity University. A lifelong educator of more than 20 years, she is an alumni of Teach for America. As an award winning school leader, she gained extensive experience as a principal and leader of PS-8th programs in DC Public Schools and DC Public Charter Schools. As a mom of a preemie, she recognized the need for quality early learning programs in her community. She discovered her life’s passion as the founder of an early childhood bilingual and Montessori inspired program, Petit Scholars. Petit Scholars expanded from one location to six a little more in the span of a decade and is a beloved program in Ward 5 in Washington, DC. She is a parent of Cole ‘28.
