Ryan Wechsler

Joined the board in 2024. Ryan Wechsler is the Deputy State’s Attorney for the Montgomery County, Maryland State’s Attorney’s Office and has been a prosecutor for 23 years.  In her role as Deputy State’s Attorney, Ms. Wechsler oversees office operations, engages in policymaking, and represents the State’s Attorney at various meetings and events.  Ms. Wechsler is currently leading an office-wide initiative to analyze the impact of race and ethnicity on prosecution outcomes and to provide transparency to the community.  Prior to her appointment as Deputy State’s Attorney in 2019, she served as Deputy Chief of the Special Victims Division.  Ms. Wechsler has worked on statewide legislative initiatives, including the criminalization of child neglect.  She is a parent of Nathan ‘24 and Will ‘27.
