Morgan (HS Science) reports, "Students in Advanced Research in Molecular Biology are off to an excellent start on their research journey."
Earlier, they extracted DNA from their arthropods at the beginning of October and will complete their Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and gel electrophoresis by the end of the month.
Through a partnership with the Bordenstein Lab's Wolbachia Project at Penn State University, students will submit successfully amplified DNA products for sequencing.
