Community and Artistry

Community engagement and artistic exploration are both core to the Burke experience – and not infrequently, the two beautifully intersect.
Pictured:
  • Asian Student Association (ASA) and Yvette C. decorated the bridge to mark the Year of the Snake.
  • Ash H. '26, Carson A. '26, and Tony C. '26 (with support from Kay C.) represented Burke at the DMV Arts Mixer at National Cathedral School on January 17.
  • Art Explorations 6 began learning about Raku firing (a traditional Japanese pottery technique) with Deborah Z.
  • One section of 7th Grade HVE continued their stewardship of our neighborhood through the DC Adopt a Block program.
