Bengal Beat: April 2024 - Part 2

Track & Field

At the Centurion Classic in Virginia on April 20, David G. '25 took 1st in the 200 meters paired with 3rd place in the 100 meters and 3rd in the long jump. In the middle distances, Eoin S. '24 notched 2nd in the 800 meters. In the girls' sprints, Elsa H. '27 took 3rd in the 100 and 200. Elsa, Ashley J. '26, Sydney J. '26, and Eliza G. '25 also took the top spot in the 4x100 relay.
 
At the MS meet, Mason F. '28 won the boys' long jump and 100 meters, followed by a 1-2 Bengal finish in the 200 for Mason and Gabriel D. '28Henry S. '30 and Markon G. '30 with Mason and Gabriel then took 1st the 4x100 relay. Morgan L. C. '30 was top Bengal in the girls' 100 and 200 meters, while Meadow J. '30 recorded Burke's best finish in the field events. 8th grade team of Arsema T. '28Amy T. '28Marli N. '28, and Yanet G. '28 took 2nd in the 4x100.
Softball

Coach Amy reports from the Bengals' home game against Berman, with big hits by Stella T. '24 and Sunniah S. '27Lailah B. '25Stacia S. M. '28, and Brooklyn M. '27 managed quick outs, with solid ball handling from Aspen C. '27 and Charlie L. '25. Shout-outs go to pitcher Sunniah and catchers Matilda P. '26 and Emily R.'25.

Baseball

The Bengals are gaining serious momentum! The team recorded consecutive away wins against Berman on April 9 (sealed by Lucas M. '27 with a walk off single), McLean School on April 15, and St. Anselm's on April 19. This Wednesday, the Bengals took on Spencerville, winning 8-4 and notching two home runs from Cassius F. '26 and Max G. '25. They now stand at 4-2 in the PVAC.
