Welcome New Bengals

We are excited to welcome two new faculty members for 2024-25 – plus welcome back one faculty member and belatedly welcome two staff members who joined us last spring.
Branden M. (Math) previously taught at Burke from 2019-22, advised in the middle school, and coached soccer and basketball. He holds a degree in math from Carleton College, where he also played NCAA DIII soccer. Welcome back!
 
Dayona F. (School Nurse) joined us last March. A graduate from UDC's School of Nursing, she was the Head RN and Operating Room Manager at Cultura Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Center in DC and, previously, has worked with Capital Diagnostics.
 
Gen G. (Vocal Music) earned her BA from Swarthmore College and Master's in Music from Westminster Choir College, where she studied Vocal Performance and Pedagogy.
 
Nate D. (English) grew up in Providence, RI, and earned his BA from Bowdoin College, with an English major and Visual Arts minor. He previously taught at Washington Jesuit Academy and worked in admissions at Friends Community School.
 
Supriya K. (Director of Auxiliary Programs) joined us last March. She served on the faculty at The School at Columbia University and Central Queens Academy Charter School in New York and worked with curriculum developer Newsela.
