While best known from the 1965 film, The Sound of Music first opened on Broadway in 1959 and is based on Maria von Trapp's autobiography The Story of the Trapp Family Singers. Set just before and after the Anschluss in Austria, the musical features a host of classic songs and a cast and crew of 70+ Burke actors, designers, and crew.
