On Saturday, November 16, fifteen high school students represented Burke at the Baltimore Student Diversity Leadership Conference (BSDLC).
Focused on the next generation of social justice leaders, this year's conference offered workshops that included Civic Engagement: Voting and Beyond, Uncomfortable Conversations, and Earned Not Given: Belonging in Academia, plus an opening convocation and afternoon variety show.
Campbell S. '25, Maya D. '26, Nkechi H. '25, Paige A. '27, and Payton A. '27 stepped up to serve as facilitators and assist in organizing the conference. Burke was strongly represented by Amber P. '27, Brooklyn M. '26, Camden C. '27, Claire J. '28, David G. '25, Izzy M. '26, Leyu F. '28, Maya W. 26, Sydney J. '26, and Zora P. '27 as well.
